My music for the week.

Eponine taking a nap.

Limit of fish caught.

My Lissie dozing in the sun.

A mushroom that poked its little cap out of the wood chips two days ago.

A lovely portrait that my friend drew and sent to me. ;)

Blossoming thyme.

Our much loved (and much used) dehydrator.
This is what has been going on with me lately - what about you? I'd love to hear in the comments!

  2. Cookie somehow got a piece of a wheat stalk embedded in her cheek. She had a very deep infection and we were having to drain it every day; I'm afraid it was terribly uncomfortable for her. Our crazy neighbor, however, had some antibiotics, and finally we gave her that and she started to get better. It was kind of scary for everyone but looking back it was a good experience to have. I'm glad she's doing better now, but I think she'll always have a bald place now on her face. ;)

  3. Ah! Lovely, lovely blog-- I'm so glad I found it! I think we have very much in common; I kept smiling even wider as I scrolled down the page and saw you liked Les Mis, Brideshead Revisited, authentic femininity and Lord of the Rings. :) Your cow is called Eponine? That's fantastic. Your photos are so beautiful!! I especially love the one of thyme, it's one of my favorite herbs.

I blog over at www.heavenly-aspirations.blogspot.com . Do come and chat sometime. :D

    Blessings to you,

    1. Thanks for commenting!! Wow, we do have a lot in common! I love meeting new bloggers, so this was a real delight. ;) Oh, Eponine is a goat, though, not a cow. Funny, we joke about how she does look very much like one a lot of the time - except for her size!

  4. Wow. Wish I could limit out on trout like that, but I'm more a white bass fisherman. Love your blog! Do you not have a followers button? I'm using my Droid to view it so that could be the problem.

    1. Hiya! Thanks for reminding me about the followers button - I had actually been meaning to put one up for a while but never got around to it. It's up now! White bass? I haven't done a whole lot of bass fishing; where do you catch those? My brother and I mostly fish for trout since that's what we like to eat. :) Thanks for following!!

      Blessings,
      Reyna

    2. Well, I live in Arkansas, so I catch them out of lakes Ouachita, Hamilton, and Catherine, usually on a 1/4 oz white and mettalic red Roostertail. I've only caught one small trout in my whole life. ;)
